The Museum of Chinese Australian History
At Calibre Business Integration we are proud to be a sponsor of the Chinese Museum...
About the Chinese Museum
The Chinese Museum was founded in Melbourne’s famous Chinatown precinct in 1985 to preserve and display the history of Australians of Chinese decent dating back to the Victorian Gold Rush of 1851.
The Museum’s treasures include artefacts from the Victorian goldfields, images of the debutante balls of the 1930's Young Chinese League, and the Millennium Dragon, the largest Chinese dragon in the World.
The Museum offers an exciting range of changing exhibitions, heritage tours and public seminars to share the past, culture, and values of Australia's Chinese community.
As such, it is a popular and important educative resource visited by over 25,000 school children per annum who learn about multiculturalism, local and Australian history, Chinese arts and crafts, language, literature, dance and traditional festivals and customs.
